MAINE ISLANDS
Year-Round Islands Following is a list
of Maine's 14 year-round island communities eligible for funding
through the Islands Challenge Fund. Many thanks to residents
of these islands who helped establish the Fund.

They gathered to give overview of work on their respective islands at the Island Affordable Housing Symposium held on April 28-29, 2006, in Belfast. More than 100 residents and advocates of Maine's bridged and unbridged islands gather to discuss ways to promote affordable housing and community sustainability. In response to those gathered who requested better sharing of information and communication, the Symposium Planning Committee developed a website at www.maineislands.org and a discussion listserv. Those interested may sign up for the list at http://www.maineislands.org/signup.htm
Project Partners The following organizations are engaged in significant work with Maine's year-round island communities. Their history and commitment to working in partnership with island communities to address a range of issues has been instrumental in the establishment of the ICF.
