The Genesis Fund seeks to increase access to capital for local entities that are developing housing or community development resources for underserved Maine people.

Genesis is an independent, nonprofit community development financial institution that provides essential financing without which some projects could never move forward. Our fund channels private monies to affordable housing and community development projects in Maine. We provide a much-needed link between individuals, religious institutions, businesses and other sources of lending capital and nonprofit entities with limited access to conventional sources of capital.
