Genesis receives a $275,000 grant to support affordable housing and community facility projects

In September 2005, the Genesis Fund was awarded a $275,000 grant from the Community Development Financial Institution Fund, a federal housing and community development finance program. This new funding will become part of the permanent capital that Genesis has available to provide financing for the construction and preservation of affordable housing and community facilities. The grant will allow the Genesis Fund to expand its work on behalf of low-income families and underserved communities around the state.
