Genesis approves aquisition loan to create affordable housing in Bangor

In December 2005, Genesis approved $300,000 in new loans to Penquis Community Action Program (Penquis CAP) and Community Partners to create affordable housing and support much-needed social services.

 

Penquis CAP has been the community action agency for Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties for 38 years, addressing economic and social needs by providing housing, transportation, and child development and family enrichment programs. Genesis provided acquisition financing to Penquis CAP to purchase a Bangor property that will support development of Northside Family Housing, a 28-unit affordable housing development with a community center.
