Bank Consortium Funds Given to Genesis

Earlier this year, members and directors of the Maine Community Reinvestment Corporation (MCRC), which was created by Maine financial institutions to foster low-income housing in Maine, decided to dissolve the organization.

Genesis is grateful to have been chosen by two of the 16 member banks - Camden National Bank and Bank of America - as recipient of their share of proceeds from sale of the MCRC loan portfolio:

     Camden National Bank, $14,749

     Bank of America, $32,057.

In making these generous gifts to Genesis, both banks recognized that the funds would continue to be used for their original purpose - to finance and preserve affordable housing.
