Executive Director
Associate Director Liza joined the staff of the Genesis Fund in the spring of 2005, bringing to the organization her experience in community development, project management, and fundraising. At Pathways for Women YWCA, she directed efforts to secure community resources to support emergency and transitional housing for homeless women and their children. Before joining the staff at Genesis, she worked as the Development Manager at Maine Initiatives, a nonprofit foundation that supports community organizing and advocacy. Liza holds a B.A. in American Studies from Smith College and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan.
Operations Manager Emily joined the Genesis Fund in the winter of 2005 as the Operations Manager. Previously, Emily worked as an information and grants manager at the State of Maine’s Department of Conservation. She holds a BS in Natural Resources from the University of Maine and is pursuing a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Maine.
Program Coordinator Yvonne Mickles Yvonne joined the Genesis Fund as Program Coordinator for its mobile home park conversion effort in November 2007. Before joining the staff she served as a Homeless Initiatives Coordinator at MaineHousing, and, most recently, worked as Associate Director of Community Impact at United Way of Midcoast Maine.
Director of Development Jane Irish Jane joined the staff in December, 2008 as Director of Development. Previously she was Director of Campaign at United Way of Mid Coast Maine in Bath . Her background also includes sales and marketing in the for profit sector - giving her well-rounded experience in both fund raising and business.

Maria Northcott Before joining the Genesis Fund in January of 2010, Maria worked in the field of education as both a teacher and administrator. She is passionate about making the world a better place and has worked for a number of non-profits including the Point Reyes Bird Observatory, the Marin Humane Society, and Ashwood Waldorf School . She holds an a B.S. in Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire and a Master's in Education from Dominican University in California. She and her husband own North Cottage Coffee, a small coffee shop in Damariscotta , Maine .
